Meditation on Mi Chamocha

Who is like you O G!d, doing wonders? We beheld your wonders, your miracles, as You divided the sea before Moshe.
I invite you to imagine....
Envision now that sea, see it before you in your mind's eye, and with your heart.
Imagine the waves on the surface of the sea, rising, falling, breaking, splas, rising from the surface of the sea, hing.
Feel the warm sun shining down upon the water's surface, heating it, evaporating the molecules at the surface,
and then image the water vapor, the millions, billions, trillions of invisible molecules of water vapor rising from the surface of the sea, rising upward.
Feel the wind. Feel the updrafts lifting the molecules of water vapor, carrying them higher and higher into the atmosphere.
Feel the air cooling. Feel it cooling as it rises, getting colder and colder, so that suddenly the molecules of water vapor begin condensing, coalescing into tiny water droplets, and then into bigger and bigger drops, until finally they start falling downward toward the Earth.
Feel the drops raining down upon your uplifted face, feel them, and know the miracle. Know that the drops you feel upon your face were the very ones that went to the right and to the left, going their separate ways, clearing dry ground at the bottom of the sea, and enabling redemption.
And as you feel these drops upon your face, know, too, the miracle of the water that courses through your body, evaporates into the air, and then also condenses, coalesces, and falls as raindrops onto your face.
In this way, through these cycles that go on and on, day in and day out, year after year, millennium after millennium, know that you were there, with the Israelites, participating in redemption. You were part of that awesome redemption.
Feel the miracle.
Feel the redemption. Know that you were there.
We sang a new song, Adonai yimloch l'olam va'ed.
The Eternal is involved forever and ever.
The miracle continues, and will continue forever.
